Beautiful stay in the lovely village of Mortehoe
Myself, my partner and two friends travelled down to Mortehoe for a wedding. The apartment was as expected, clean, modern and very spacious! We were welcomed with a lovely basket of Prosecco, shortbread and crisps, it was a lovely touch - Thank you Katie. The games/dvds were a nice extra too as we had a couple of days of rain whilst there.
We made use of the local pubs, and had fish and chips from the local chip shop - they were amazing!
The apartment is also very short drive/walk to Woolacombe.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back and visit more of the local area in the future. Thank you.
Such a great apartment. Everything has been thought of including dog towels! Very clean, modern & comfortable . Very easy booking process. Great location in a beautiful village. We will be back & would definitely recommend to friends & family. Thank you!
Long weekend break
Lovely place to stay, will book again
An absolutely fabulous apartment. Everything you could wish for. So modern comfortable and spotless. Welcome pack much appreciated! Lovely view. Good location. Easy to walk to local pubs for good food. Plenty of enjoyable walks. Easy to walk to Woolacombe where we always enjoy fish and chips at The Red Barn. Wish we had found this delightful property long ago.
We loved Katie's apartment. It was immaculate yet welcoming. A real home from home, with a surprise welcome basket of goodies. The location was perfect. We were able to walk from the door on a range of lovely coastal paths, and even the village pub was great, serving local cider and good pub grub - with nice veggie options. What could be better!
Happy days, and nights!
This was our first visit to North Devon, and our second HomeAway property. Situated on the first floor, this apartment afforded fantastic views from either of the two balconies (living room and main bedroom), and everything was just as described on the HomeAway app. Clean, well presented and homely, Katie's apartment was a great base from which to explore North Devon. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable - dodgy mattresses are a pain (literally) for my wife who recently had spinal surgery - and my daughter said that the single beds in the second bedroom were also comfortable. I would add that my daughter is in her 20's, so any family bringing younger children should have no problems getting the kids off to sleep. Possibly. My daughter and her boyfriend got excited when they discovered body boards and buckets and spades in one of the cupboards, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use them on Woolacombe beach. There was almost everything you would need in the kitchen (if you like boiled eggs for breakfast then bring egg cups as we couldn't find any) including a dishwasher and washer/dryer, and the adjoining living room was great for chilling out in. There was an en suite bathroom attached to the main bedroom, and a main bathroom. The en suite had the only walk in shower you can stand under, the main bathroom having a bath with a pull out shower head more suitable for rinsing down sandy children. Again, both bathrooms were clean and modern, and there were plenty of towels provided for everyone. Gaining access to the property when we arrived was easy, Katie having given us full instructions for the day of our arrival. There was a dedicated parking space located at the front of the property, so there were no worries about finding somewhere to park. Woolacombe and the beach were just a short walk (a little over a mile) from Mortehoe, however be warned that walking back involves a very steep hill that my wife could not manage - something to be aware of if walking is an issue. That being said, there was ample parking in Woolacombe so the hill really wasn't an issue for us. Okay, it was an issue when I was walking back after completing Woolacombe Dunes Parkrun - labelled the toughest Parkrun in the UK - on Saturday morning with potential future son in law. Then I was close to crawling up the hill on my hands and knees! Thank you Katie for a lovely long weekend, we really enjoyed our stay.
