Maison au calme en haut d’une colline
Jolie maison au calme un peu à l’extérieur du village de Massa Martana.
Un peu difficile d’accès car au bout d’un chemin très en pente et non goudronné. Grande piscine.
Access to the villa via the country lanes very hard to access - both in the car and on foot.
Very peaceful and quiet location. Lovely pool although really very cold at times. Dishwasher did not clean properly, even with the aid of dishwasher salt and rinse aid. This became a bit of an issue during the course of the two week stay as washing up for 8 each night was tiresome!!
Lovely villa in the Umbrian countryside
This is a very lovely villa . Peaceful and out of the way with everything you would need or want for your holiday . The pool was the main attraction with its diving board . The kitchen is very well equipped . Plenty of cutlery ,plates etc. Very well looked after by Alina and her mum . We appreciated the fresh eggs from her house ! Two lovely terraces to sit on would benefit from more garden furniture . Beautiful views . Internet was great throughout and the addition of Netflix was a bonus .The road was a challenge after a severe rainstorm but a chap with a tractor repaired it . Still would suggest a robust car although Alina’s mum sped up and down it in her little car . Would definitely recommend this place for large and extended family stays . It’s a bit out of the way but worth it . We did Walk into town and it took about 30 minuetes ... however it was a 30 minute climb back up the hill !Massa Martana is a quaint little Umbrian village with a picturesque village centre . There is a decent enough supermarket but for something a bit more up market go the EMI in Todi . Would definitely return .

We spent a lovely week here with the family. The house is really well presented and clean with everything you need to make your stay great. The pool was cleaned every morning and was truly fabulous with fantastic views and we spent a lot of time here. The house is air conditioned throughout which meant we were very comfortable at night. We had amazing sunsets and the local town has some nice restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. The outside eating space at the house is superb and we really enjoyed eating here every evening. Alina is such a lovely welcoming lady and so helpful. The WiFi went down on day 3 (a disaster for teenagers!!), but she had sorted it out for us by the time we came home from a day out to Todi. We also ran out of gas for the BBQ half way through cooking one evening and she arrived at the house within 10 minutes with a spare gas canister! What amazing service. We had difficulty negotiating the road to the house as it is unpaved and quite steep and we had rented a fairly unsuitable car, but Alina arranged for us to park at the house below and walk the last few meters up to the villa. We also took a day out to Spoleto which I would highly recommend. Its easy to park and get around using escalators and lifts that take you to all different levels of the hill top town.
