Fun Weekend Away!
We loved staying at this property this past weekend. The owner was super accommodating and helpful. The cabin was clean and warm. Lake was beautiful and so many fun things to do in the surrounding towns. Highly recommend!
Thank you Krista, we enjoyed having your group as well! Only a few weeks left to enjoy the magnificent foliage. Happy you got to see it! Hope you come again!
Better then camping
The cottage was clean and comfortable. The lake front gazebo was charming. New Kayaks lots of fun on the lake. Fire pit at night. The only issue I had was based on the pictures in the listing I assumed the cottage was water front or water view. Short walk to the lake on private road. 👍👍
Thank you for lovely review! Sorry I wasn’t able to meet you guys. Next time, please stay at our sister property located on the same road. You’ll be able to enjoy our new seven person Hotspa while you sip champagne and watch the sunset on the lake. You’ll also enjoy our new handmade king size Aireloom mattress with adjustable base that shapes your body in Zero Gravity mode. All returning guests are offered 20 percent discount on their stay! Hope to see you guys again!!
Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Steven is a friendly and helpful host. Enjoyed the lake and a short, easy drive to Bethel Woods.
Very relaxing and enjoyable
We had a great time and enjoyed our stay!
First and foremost Steven and his wife were not only professional, they were down right friendly. They ensured all of our needs were met and were prompt to respond. Steven went out of his way to get us charcoal for our first night there. The family was caught up in enjoying the lake and would have missed the store. The property was more then anticipated. From the moment you walked in you could tell it was clean and there is all the basic nesitys plus more. The lake and gazebo are a gem. The only problem was our stay was to short.Definitely will be returning.
A great spot for our family getaway!
Our daughter was working at a nearby camp, and we were looking for a lakeside property where she could come to spend her day off and we could spend some time as a family. We are so happy that we found this spot and connected with Steve!
Although the house itself isn't directly on the water, the property on which is located is; just a short walk down a path leads you right to a beautiful lakeside gazebo and a dock where Steve keeps his boats. My son and daughter enjoyed taking the available row boat out to do a little exploring in the waters between the dock and nearby island, known for some of the best fishing on the lake! Although we aren't savvy fisherpeople, both other renters' reviews (with pics as evidence) and first-hand accounts from Steve tell of some HUGE FISH caught there !
Our day on the lake was spent swimming and doing other watersports. Because it was a Thursday and Friday that we were there, we had the open water pretty much to ourselves. We ventured out a ways off shore with a boat, some floats, and our dog. What a blast!
The house was perfect for what we needed for our stay, both in terms of size and amenities. Each bedroom was plenty roomy, with both a comfortable queen and twin-size bed. The bathroom was nice - complete with a shower with complimentary and great-smelling soap, shampoos, and conditioner! All linens were provided, which made packing much easier. The kitchen was well-equipped: pots and pans, plates, silverware, a microwave, gas stove, good-sized fridge, and coffee maker as well as Keurig (with a few complimentary k-cups of coffee - a nice touch!). And boy, were we grateful for the A/C that kept the main part of the house cool despite the humid 97 degrees that hung in the air outside!
The front porch area was a nice spot for outside eating and visiting, with chairs and a table that had an umbrella for shade. We used the charcoal grill that was also there for a cookout, and although we didn't get a chance to make use of it, could have topped off our cookout with smores and an evening at the firepit down by the lake.
Steve made this great property even better, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The basics were well-provided for, and there were many extra touches - like bringing us a homemade blueberry pie from a nearby farmers' market, helping us get together some poles for fishing, and providing smore ingredients. Two thumbs up!
