Great location, patio and service!
We spent a full week in Madrid in this apartment. It is located in a relatively quiet neighborhood a few minutes walk from the Palos de la Frontera subway station and all services (restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc). It’s also 10mins walk from the Atocha train station.
This top 6th floor unit is very comfortable with the added bonus of a big size patio. We thoroughly enjoyed spending mornings and evenings there.The living room could be refreshed but everything else is in great condition. We did miss having a dishwasher but the clever dish dryer in the cupboard did the trick.
The Genteel homes team was great! Even offered to intervene with our neighbors who were banging the doors loudly at all hours of the day.
One note to them. It would be worthwhile and useful to have a document readily available in the unit with all the appropriate information. This would be useful for tips on what to do with our garbage for example :-)
We highly recommend this unit. Enjoy Madrid!
Looks very nice at first sight, but a terrible place to stay
This apartment looks sleek and modern, and it is well-located. However, I cannot recommend it. The worst thing is the noise from the adjacent apartment. The bedroom of this apartment B shares a wall with the living room of apartment C, next door. Even normal conversation in C carries through to the bedroom of apartment B. We arrived on a Thursday. On Friday the person next door said she was having a party on Saturday night from about 10 pm until 2; it would be noisy, but it was only once a year. For us it was once a week. The party started at 8 pm and the last guests left at 6:18 the next morning. They were very loud. The elevator only holds a few people, so the guests congregated in the lobby waiting for it. At about 7 on Sunday, somebody stuck a toothpick in the doorbell button for our unit, and it buzzed until I went down to take out the toothpick. Probably retaliating for the noise we did not make. We realize that the owner did not make the noise problem, but the owner could not control it, either. If you stay here you are completely at the mercy of inconsiderate neighbors. There were other less serious inconveniences, as well. The shower has no shelf or other place to put soap or shampoo. The bathroom has a towel rack that holds one towel and one washcloth, only. The bathroom mirror partially obstructs the vanity faucet, so you can have strong water flow on hot or cold, but not in between. The curtains in the living room were broken and could not be raised or lowered. The management company said that the owner would fix them on Monday, but they were never fixed. Deluxe price, but a poor experience.
We are deeply sorry for the issue with the party in the next flat. We have put a claim to the neighbour and they came to apologise, althoug we will keep on the claim. It's the first time that something like this happens, unfortunatelly our apartments are in resientials buildings and sometimes we can't avoid this kind of things. It's something that could happen in our homes but this is worst when you are on holidays. We are sorry and hoping it doesn't happen again.
About the rest of things, we take note and we will try to fix everything right the way.
Please refund our damage deposit!

Great apartment with super comfortable bed
Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (7 and 11). The kids slept on the pull-out couch and were quite happy. The bed in the bedroom is fantastic- best sleep we had during the whole trip! The apartment is comfortable and well maintained. We stayed here at the end of trip to Spain so having the option to do laundry was very nice. I especially appreciated that there was detergent available so we could easily do one load. There is a grocery store across the street and another near by.
The apartment includes a coffee machine and coffee and tea. We appreciated having this available first thing in the morning.
We walked around a lot and ate in various neighborhoods. All meals were good! We also booked a Children's Art Tour at the Prado with Almu- highly recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to share with us and our guests your experience in our apartment in Madrid. You can not imagine how happy we are that everything was as you expected -or even beyond your expectations! In the end, that's the main reason of our daily hard work, so our guests can feel like at home while staying with us.

Apartment was very well done, has everything you need including a hair dryer and cookware for the induction stove. The bed is very comfortable and linens are higher end to provide more comfort. The shower had lots of pressure and hot water. The location is convenient to the art museums and walkable to the Royal Palace within 45 minutes. The terrace is a great addition which we used daily.Genteel Homes was easy to deal with and called a taxi for our very early morning flight. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
