We loved our stay!
Very clean, spacious apartment with amazing views of city and water. Great location near harbor and train station which was really convenient. Lots of stairs to get to it (over 100), but the view is worth it, and we were so glad we chose Riomaggiore. There is no AC, but evenings cool with open windows and fan. (visited in Sept) There is a washing machine in apartment but told not to use. There is a laundromat up the street, but we would have preferred paying extra fee to use in apt. Kitchen and bathroom are spacious and updated--very nice w/everything you need. Shower hot water and pressure--great. Bed is king sized and mattress is adequate though just so-so. The sheets were kind of scratchy (too low thread count?), but I don't sleep well in general and can be a little fussy.
Communication was great before arrival, and we were met by Leandro at the train station with no issue who took us to the apartment. He was even willing to help haul our luggage up the stairs!
We were happy to find a beach towel (2 would have been nice) as we didn't pack any and ended up swimming in Manarola and Porte Venere harbors.
Note: even though the view was lovely, I was a little disappointed by the way the terrace was situated. It looked out to the buildings across from us and not directly at the sea. I could not enjoy the lovely view of the water from a seated position but had to be standing and view it from the side of the terrace. Not a deal breaker since we could lean against the short wall on the side and enjoy the view that way, plus the city view was great to have. I had imagined sitting on the terrace with a drink watching the sunset, but it's not that picture perfect. Again I'm being a little fussy as overall I enjoyed the view. (you cannot actually see the sun set on the horizon as the buildings across the way block the view, but watching from the kitchen terrace (standing) is still very beautiful. ) All in all, we had a very lovely stay in Riomaggiore. Along with Manarola, it was our favorite town. I thought Monterossa and Vernazza were way too crowded/touristy and was glad to be in Riomaggiore.

The apartment was very clean and had a wonderful deck with a view. Once you are accustomed to climbing the stairs it was great! But it only took a day so it was good.
My only suggestion would be adding a kettle or coffee maker...as there was not one that we could find.
The location was good with easy access to the train and ferry to go see the other villages. It was a bit quieter than some of the other villages, which was nice.
Spectacular view, excellent location, great accommodations. Lots of stairs but well worth the climb
The view was stunning. Very close to everything. The apartment had everything that we needed. The 5 flights of stairs were a lot to climb but the view made it worth it!
Wonderful View and well equipped apartment
We stayed for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this apartment. Yes there are a lot of stairs to climb so you need to take that into consideration, but the view from the balconies is spectacular. Our host met us at the station and was kind enough to help us up the stairs with the luggage. The apartment is well equipped and is very close to the town and train station. The train runs through a tunnel at this end of town so although you can hear a rumble it did not bother us. We would happily stay hear again next time.
My sister and I spent a few lovely nights in this apartment during our holiday. The views are as advertised, and simply stunning. The host communicates well, meets you at the train station, and takes you up to the apartment. They also provided us with maps of the region, including trails that were currently closed as well as a few restaurant suggestions, and the current time tables for the train and ferry. We appreciated the convenience of the apartment to the train station. It’s just a 5-7 minute walk. The apartment was clean, had all the basics, including a well stocked kitchen.
Be forewarned! It’s about 100 steps up from the street to the apartment, but the views are worth it.
