Clean cabin set on a busy campground and run by 3rd party
This cabin was quite clean and comfortable. I found that the photos made it look like a secluded cabin in the first, but that’s far from the truth. You can see directly into neighboring cabins while sitting on the deck. It just wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was close to Mt. Rainier which was nice. Overall I can’t say I’d make any suggestions aside from stating that the cabin is located on a busy resort.
Perfect getaway place!
If you are looking for a cute, warm, quiet place to refuel and relax between adventures, you don't need to look further. This place is amazing.
My wife and I took one last getaway from our 2 kids in July before our 3rd arrives in a August, and I cannot express enough how perfect Alpine Annie's was for us.
It rests in a quiet neighborhood about 15 minutes southeast of Mount Rainier National Park and about 10 minutes northwest of the small town of Packwood. Packwood has a market to buy food if you want to cook, gas, and lots of little restaurants to eat at (we recommend Cliff Droppers and Blue Spruce Saloon).
The cabin was perfect for the two of us. Fully supplied kitchen, good hot water and water pressure in the shower, Internet TV with Netflix available if you have a Netflix login, comfortable main bed, really comfortable couch to relaxing, big deck for stargazing on a clear night, wifi worked great for our two devices, and laundry.
Note that if you dont have Verizon you wont have cell reception, but most phones allow wifi calling. It was really nice actually to be able unplug from social media and being constantly accessible to others and just enjoy our time together in nature. Then, spent some time posting pictures on Facebook and FaceTiming with the kids when we got back to the cabin and were on wifi.
The stairs going up to the loft are very steep and could be a problem for some, but is not very many stairs. My wife was 32 weeks pregnant and had no troubles. We found walking down a little sideways kept you stable.
Overall, this place was perfect for our hiking trip to MRNP. We cooked breakfast in the morning, hiked all day, went to Packwood for dinner each night and then kicked back in the cabin the rest of the night.
Do not hesitate to book this place for your getaway. Its worth it!
We came in to get some peaceful relaxation. This cabin did not disappoint. The place felt like home immediately. The windows overlooking the park was beautiful. So quiet. Great place for walks. We loved it and would love to return.
The only problem we had was there are no real bowls. The bowls provided are more like saucers.
Do be careful if you have mobility issues. The stairs to the loft are very steep. The large L shaped hide a bed in the living room would work well if you can’t do stairs. Hint on the stairs, When coming down, go backwards while holding the hand rail (like on a boat).
We loved this cute house. It was perfect for our visit to Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. This has everything you need and is even close to the grocery store and coffee shop.
Tranquility at its finest
We came to Washington for our first Anniversary and wanted to be surrounded by nature and this cute cabin was perfect for this. Surrounded by mountains and giant trees sitting on the deck and listening to the wind in the trees is pure bliss. We would love to come back once the road close to the cabin to the National Park is open and explore even more. Great stay.
