Week-long visit of historical sites & museums
It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel. More room, privacy and a washer/dryer was very nice to have. I’m picky about my bed, and it was very comfortable. Limited kitchen, but all we wanted was a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator so it was perfect for us. Great location with easy metro access, and walking distance from about everything of interest. Kent checked on us via email several times, but we had everything we needed. Check in was easy.
Great little place close to metro
We visited DC with 3 children and stayed at this property. It is an extremely good location, a few blocks from multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and about a 2 minute walk to the metro. We were able to avoid renting a car which was great. It’s much larger than a hotel room, which is difficult to find for 5 people. This was our second visit to DC and it made a huge difference to have the space and location compared to when we stayed in a hotel. You cannot beat the price for this space in such a good location. Also, the owner was extremely responsive to any/all requests, calling or texting in a very timely manner. It was awesome to have access to our own washer and dryer. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants more than one bedroom (for privacy/quiet time after a long day with children). We would definitely stay there again.
Mother/Daughter trip to DC
The property was great! It's an older house (english basement), so a little quirky, but Kent made sure we were aware of all of that before we booked it. The location was perfect, easy to get where ever we wanted to. Kent was absolutely fantastic in all of our dealings! Highly recommend this property and Kent!

Nice & clean
Affordable and convenient to the metro and restaurants
My family and I stayed for a week with our two teenagers and had a great experience. The location is within a block and a half of the metro, no matter your food preference you are within walking distance of a restaurant, bar or brew pub. They are also drug stores, Trader Joe’s and other small grocery stores. While the overall neighborhood is very lively with nighttime activity the street where the property is located is very quiet. It was lovely having the front window open at night. Kent the owner was very attentive to responding to any questions we had and he checked in with us several times to make sure that our stay was comfortable. Both beds were very comfortable, the small load washing machine and dryer were highly convenient, and there was plenty of hot water for all of us. The kitchen area has just enough room to make coffee and a light breakfast but cooking a larger meal is limited due to access to two burners and a microwave. There is a moderately sized refrigerator though. We often went to Trader Joe’s to purchase fresh fruits ,vegetables and small prepared meals/snacks which was a great cost savings and after walking around most of the day in DC it was refreshing and relaxing to come back for a snack and then head out again in the local neighborhood. Our family would definitely return for another stay. Kent is a wonderful host.

Bin 1301 Wine Bar, Dino's, Al Crostino, Dukem & Etete (2 meilleurs restaurants éthiopiens à DC), Nellies Sports Bar, The Prospect (nouveau bar sportif), Archipelago, The Fainting Goat (nouvel américain - avec plusieurs options d'agriculture locale), Tico, Lost Society, Ben's Chili Bowl, Ben's Next Door, LOT Lounge, Oohs & Aahs (super soul food - présenté sur Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives), The Greek Spot (merveilleusement authentique), Alero, Brixton, américain Ice House, (tous à moins de 3 pâtés de maisons). 4 places de café - The Coffee Bar - 2 pâtés de maisons sur 13th & S, Starbucks, The Wydown & Peets. Également à proximité - Matchbox, Ted's Bulletin, Busboys & Poets, Marvin, nouveau YMCA sur W entre le 13 et le 14 (avec une très belle piscine), Vida (très beau centre de remise en forme avec piscine) sur 1600 blocs de U. 3 blocs à 9 30 Club (considéré par beaucoup comme l'un des meilleurs lieux de la côte Est), Lincoln Theatre, U St Music Hall (dans un pâté de maisons) et Howard Theatre à côté de tous les nouveaux restaurants en Floride et 7th St NW à Shaw. Nouveau marché O St avec une nouvelle épicerie géante aux alentours du 9th & P. Capital City Bikeshare dans les 1-2 blocs. Je suis le propriétaire et j'habite à l'étage une partie de la maison.
