Our Big family DC stay
Our Eleven family members including 3 toddlers and a baby enjoyed our stay in the house. Our visit was for the Arlington funeral of our mother and the opportunity to have the whole family in one house together. The bedrooms and four bathrooms aligned very well with our needs. The location within walking distance of Smithsonian Museums, neighborhood stores and restaurants was ideal. We really used the kitchen and laundry especially helpful with little children. The manager Jim was always prompt to answer our questions and help us. This was our first experience with VRBO and I'd recommend this property for any large group.
Exactly what we needed for our group!
Traveling with a school group can always pose challenges, especially with accommodations. This well appointed House addressed our needs beautifully.
Great location and LOTS of space.
This is as advertised. If you are looking for a Four Seasons experience, look elsewhere. If you want a terrific location in an ever shrinking old and authentic (but a bit rough around the edges) neighborhood in DC with a ton of space (not just the 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, but also an extraordinarily large living/dining/kitchen area), this is the place for you. I was here for my daughter’s graduation from Georgetown Law School (nearby), and she used this place for pre and post event gatherings of her friends. We had around 16 people at the peek of one such gathering, and this place handled it comfortably. As long as you understand it is not a 5 star hotel, and you are looking for space and location, it is terrific. Jim, the manager, is very responsive and easy to deal with—a bonus.
Great location and plenty of room for our group of ten adults. Jim the property manager was very responsive and generous to our needs. We were able to walk to pretty much all of the museums and sights to see with restaurants and grocery and liquor stores right around the corner. We had a great time!
A wonderful, outstanding stay
This is a fantastic home, especially for groups. Decorated with uplifting, yet serene colors, the furniture is nice, plentiful and comfortable. Management is responsive and quick to reply, although our communication centered on confirming times rather than in anything needing repair. The home is only an hop to the yellow and green lines. Plenty to see.and do in the immediate neighborhood too. Safeway is but a 7 minue walk away. The abundant amount of clean bathrooms, bedding and beds makes this home perfect for large groups. We are definitely future guests!
Poorly maintained, filthy
The house is furnished with fraternity rejects, mismatched, worn out and filthy. An unpleasant smell upon entering, any dishes or pots we used had to be scrubbed with comet before use...really gross. Washing machine had a horrible odor. Closets not even wide enough to hold a coat hanger, not even $2 trash cans. For a house that sleeps 18 the water pressure is so poor that two people can’t take a shower at the same time, in the moldy, mildewed shower stalls. One room would be about 60 degrees the room next store would be 80...no amount of fiddling with the thermostat helped. We have stayed in many rentals and this is the first to have absolutely no helpful instructions on parking, tv operations (which DO NOT WORK properly), WiFi, helpful hints, etc. Other than location this place has absolutely nothing going for it. I would not rent anything from this owner. Completely unacceptable!!!!!
