Perfect location! Comfy home!
This place was truly a home away from home. There was a cold snap while we were there but this cabin kept us comfy and warm. Plenty of room for all 8 of us and the kitchen was well stocked. I've been to the Klamath Falls area a few times and the location of this cabin is perfect! A short drive to Ashland, Crater Lake, Klamath Falls, Lake of the Woods, etc. Would love to come again and stay even longer! The owners were absolutely great to work with!
House was beautiful and clean. We had a great stay! Everything we needed was there. Went to the Klamath Refuge and saw some incredible birds. We will certainly go back again! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!!
Comfortable and spacious
Lots of snow and my kids loved playing just outside. A bit of a drive from anything else which is slow during the winter, but not bad.
Amenities for cooking were great. Bed more comfortable than my own.
Wonderful Mountain Lodge was a Winter Wonderland
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this well appointed, wonderful mountain lodge. Once inside, you would hardly notice that you were in the middle of the forest it was so comfortable, until you look out the giant wall of windows and take in the breathtaking view. Very comfortable and relaxing room for all eight of my family, we relaxed, played games, watched movies, and went sledding. We even went for an enjoyable walk around the quiet mountain road. We greatly enjoyed a fun game we had never heard of before called Catchphrase. We had so much fun laughing together playing this game, we had to find it as soon as we got home. Our only complaint was the internet is too slow to stream movies and the family friendly movie selection was limited to Leave it to Beaver and couple others, so you may want to bring your own DVDs to enjoy on one of two screens. Overall, we greatly enjoyed this mountain lodge and it will be added to our list of regular winter vacation choices!
Remote get away in the forest
This property was outfitted with all the essentials and the location is beautiful. We rented this house for Thanksgiving weekend because it was in the vicinity (45 minutes away) of Oregon Institute of Technology where my son is a student. We had an exceptionally good time during our stay. We arrived late in the evening, the driveway was lit and welcoming. The following morning we hiked a section of the PCT and returned just in time as it started to snow and continued falling the following day allowing for some fun snowball fights and snowman building. Our party consisted of 7 adults and the house was just big enough to hold us all comfortably - any more than that and you'd be bumping into each other. The open concept kitchen/dining/living areas worked very well for us and we enjoyed many great meals, games, and movies. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing meals including a Thanksgiving dinner. There are two large full baths that seemed to accommodate us well. The beds were all comfy with the exception of the full size bottom bunk. The pull out sofa bed was super comfy but whoever sleeps in that area will not have much privacy. Don't count on the wifi or cell service for communication. The wifi was slow and intermittent and the cell service for us was nonexistent. There is a house phone with landline.
The property owner, Dennis, handled all of my questions and was very accommodating and gracious. This is definitely a very good value and a beautiful place to be!
Beauty and serenity
This is a well stocked and comfortable home nestled in the trees and is very convenient to Dead Indian Memorial highway. We loved all of the books and brochures that gave us plenty of ideas to keep us busy. There were books on hikes in Klamath, Lake of Woods, Crater Lake, and beyond. There were folders full of brochures for wine tasting, Ashland Shakespeare Festival, zip-lining and more. We hiked every day, visited Crater Lake, and enjoyed the solitude. This home is in a neighborhood but we hardly saw or heard anyone else while we were there. We like to cook our own meals and we had more than enough pots, pans, and utensils for making gourmet meals. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the turning of the leaves.
