Casa Marmol - Playacar
Great house and terrific experience. Claudine was very helpful coordinating our trip and Maria did a great job of taking care of the house during our stay. My entire group thoroughly enjoyed the house, the beach and the hospitality in Playacar.
An excellent stay at Playacar
The house looks like it does in the photos. We enjoyed waking up at the beach and going for a swim every morning. There were a few small things to improve on e. g no safe to lock valuables and for the ladies ( and some men) no hairdryer. Maria provided a great maid service. Claudine was an excellent host providing updates through the booking process. I’d highly recommend this property for a short stay
Loved it! Great location and house layout with pool!
Overall great experience at Casa Marmol. Maria, the in house maid, was very helpful. Location was about a 5 minute taxi or 20 minute walk from all the main bars and restaurants. Pool and house were clean and it’s directly on the beach. Pictures you see are exactly the same! For sure recommend this place for your next Playa visit!
PARADISE - HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We had the most amazing time at Casa Marmol for our family holiday. The Villa is exactly as pictured here, very clean and in great condition.
Claudine, our host, had great communication with us prior to arrival and recommended the best caterer for us to have breakfast & dinner prepared in the Villa, Chef Daveed...cannot speak highly enough of their food & service!!
Maria, our housekeeper, was there daily to tidy up the house and bring fresh towels, etc. A lovely woman who did a fantastic job!
The Villa is very safe and is just steps from the beautiful Caribbean. The kids loved the pool & hammock and of course playing on the beach which is tended to daily.
Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for the ultimate beachfront villa in Playa Del Carmen.
The house is as represented and a beautiful location right on the beach. The housekeeper was a delight and did a great job and overall the house was clean, comfortable and as presented. There were some notes to add such as many of the lamps were not working, the front door key was sticky and at one point we were worried we wouldn’t be able to get back in, the back door to the beach had handles that were broken and the lock was also tricky. This area of the beach is popular so prepare to have a lot of people walking in front of you and even laying out in front of the house so your deck privacy is minimal. It was fun for our teens to be right on the beach and there were jet ski rentals that would come during the day near the house which was fun. Finally, make sure you receive very detailed information from the host, directions for the appropriate gate to access the house. With only the coordinates of the house, we spent over an hour in the dark going to the wrong gate and trying to figure out how to get to the house.
Overall, a nice stay on the beach.
Excellent Location, Beautiful View, AMAZING hosts
WOW. Overall impression and experience: Fantastic. I highly recommend booking this place.
The house is close to everything! You can walk into town (to 5th avenue with shops and bars and restaurants) which takes about 15 minutes. If you are not in the best shape, or older like my parents (70 years old), you will need a taxi. The taxi ride is about $7 usd into pretty much anywhere on 5th.
The View is EXACTLY as it is pictured. I enjoyed coffee on the patio EVERY morning. It was beautiful. On our first day (a Sunday) the beach was a bit more crowded. A few people were playing frisbee and sunning in the empty land lot next to us or in front of our house, but all in all- amazing. On the otherdays, very few people on our little stretch of beach. The house is about 2 minutes walk from a nice hotel called The Fishermans Village. So there were some folks near by at the resort. But I felt pretty much alone. It was amazing.
The house is beautiful. Just as it is pictured. The only negative I can say about this place at all is-- the shower in the master bedroom wasnt working very well. It had two shower heads, but only 1 worked... and it barely worked at all. We found some baking soda and washed the shower head and it worked much better the rest of the trip. Also, in the powder room, the toilet seat fell off... but still usable (we just put it back on... even though it wasnt secured). Lastly, one of the chandeliers in the bathroom was a bit loose.. but we didnt even notice it until we were packing to leave. All in all, the house is absolutely beautiful.
This place comes with an amazing housekeeper. I am not sure if this is standard and comes like this every time, but we had Maria from about 9am-6pm each day. She was Super friendly and helpful. She kept the house clean. She called for taxis for us many times. She didn't speak any english, but she was very patient with me while I used google translate or while I spoke my broken spanglish. She secured taxis, helped cook breakfast, made fresh coffee, made homemade guacamole, washed several loads of laundry for us... she was a true highlight of the trip.
The host was also amazing. Check in was not until 3pm but she allowed us to drop our bags off at 12pm and change clothes before we were going to head into town for lunch. She even gave us a ride to our lunch spot (which was the best meal we had). She was at the house when we arrived and she came by to send us off on our last day to send us off.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE
