There were a few things such as the shower head on upper shower was missing. We all decided to shower in bottom bathroom. The omission of window coverings made for an uncomfortable feeling especially since people were in our drive way at tandom hours warning us to be gone by monday in rudeness. Ither than that, the stay was quiet and in a great location. Every night at around 8, the wifi would just randomly stop working so our use of the tv and personal devices not working also took away from the visit. We tried many many times to contact the owner but with out wifi or signal we could not call out. The owner was very great about responses and check in information before the trip.
Beautiful House in Private Area
Very clean, had everything I need. I would pay more for a stronger internet connection however.
such a beautiful place
Perfect getaway! The house is comfy, the scenery is beautiful and the stay was awesome. We will be back.
We absolutely loved this cabin! It was in a quiet location with a wonderful view of the mountains. It was very clean and very well stocked. Hosts were wonderful when I had questions. We will be back for sure!
Adore the place!
First and foremost, we loved staying here and will probably come back soon! The house is cozy, perfect size for a family who isn’t itching for an unnnecesarily large house. It is simple, not overdone, but beautiful. And pricing was perfect!
We did have a few concerns, though, that interfered with our experience as well as our comfort. My husband has asked me to mention that the smoke detectors are way outdated and should be replaced (he’s a firefighter and it’s a big peeve of his, especially when strangers are staying in other peoples’ houses!). The main inconveniences for me were: the lack of bird seed for the huge feeder that’s right smack in the middle of your view. One of the main reasons we chose this place was so my grandpa could watch the birds on the deck. My sweet Granny loved birds and we used to all sit on their front porch watching them. It was a wonderful pastime I had looked forward to sharing with him once again on possibly our only vacation together. I searched everywhere for seed, but there was none in or outside of the house to refill the feeder. The other big thing was the lack of linens for the pull out sofa. There was no extra linen in the house for it, or for emergencies. If it was, it was in one of the locked closets. My grandpa was to sleep on the pull out because he can’t climb stares (we were specific enough about the number of people and nature of staying in the house that I thought it should have indicated a clear need for linens for the pull out, but I guess not) and we ended up having to sacrifice flat sheets and quilts from the kids’ beds to make do for him. Other than that, there were few cleanliness and maintainence things (dirty magazine racks in bathrooms, other peoples’ old food in the fridge and freezer, an opened pack of flooring under the bunk bed for the kids to mess in, super messy shelves above the washer and dryer; path lights to fire pit were pulled loose and not working, broken glass torches on the deck, old decorative debris tossed in the yard instead of being disposed of, sliding doors were difficult to get open: my grandpa could not open it at all) and I think the owners and visitors alike would benefit from trashing the carpet and putting in something that can be kept cleaner.
Those things are worth mentioning, but would not stop us from enjoying the house again at another time. Maybe we’ll start traveling with an extra set of bed linens for pinches?
