Lovely country home.
We were a group of ten and the house easily accomodated all of us in comfort. Great walks in he Pittsford area, including several short (1 -3 miles) trails accessible right from the property, which also had ample space for the dog to roam the back 40 without worrying about traffic. Would definitely return again!
Beautiful property with historic homes
Lovely property and home - you can feel the history there. A bit of road noise and spices and amenities could be improved, eg couldn’t find spatula or washcloths and the spices looked many years old. Nevertheless we would gladly stay again and feel lucky to have had the chance to stay there! Thank you...
Relaxing Family Ski Weekend
We had a wonderful stay. We had four adults and three children with plenty of room to spare. The house was clean, warm and obviously well loved. We thoroughly enjoyed the great room with fireplace and plenty of stacked firewood to burn. Easy drive to Killington ski area. It stormed during our stay, but the plowman (Rob) was friendly and super helpful - even helped us shovel our car out of the snow. Highly recommend and we hope to visit again in the near future.
Only go here if you want to relax.
This is an amazing property. The feeling associated with the place just sticks with you. First vacation we've had a long time (we have 3 kids under 4) where time seem to stand still yet we all enjoyed our time together. The house just has a feeling about it that anyone would love. Thank you for letting us (all 10 of us) enjoy this property.
Felt like we were part of Vermont
Our extended family flew to Boston and met at this wonderful farmhouse. It was authentic, yet with modern updates. My grandparents lived in a farmhouse in Iowa and I felt like this was a close cousin of theirs. There was lots of room, a great sun room. a kitchen that we used each morning for cooking a nice breakfast, and just no one around. We loved that peaceful feeling of waking up each day and seeing the colors splashed outside the windows. Thanks so much for a great stay!
Great Family Freindly Location and House
We stayed at the Cadwell house for a four day weekend for a large family gathering and completely enjoyed our stay. The house is completely stocked with anything and everything you will need. It is centrally located easy access to shopping and dinning or cook in we did both. There are great hiking trails ( that were mostly under water from heavy spring rains) but we were able to walk down to the covered bridge and back a couple of times between the rain showers. Can’t say enough about how great this place is. Lots of beds and places to gather larger groups.
When we first arrived and I realized there was no TV I have to say I was a little upset however after looking at the details they never mentioned TV but still no TV. I have to be very honest here because there was NO TV we had more fun telling stories and playing games ( there is a shelf full of games in the closet off the big room) we found Apples to Apples kept us laughing and busy all rainy Sunday afternoon.
In the end we had a great time and I would go back in an instance if I needed a place to stay anywhere near Brandon Pittsford or Runtland its not from Skiing also.
