The Next Best Thing To Home
Everything about Deirdre's property was thoughtfully set up for a long stay, with all the amenities and comforts we could have wanted. I especially enjoyed working on the screened porch out back. We were staying in the property while getting ready to move into our permanent home in Austin, and the central location of Deirdre's property was convenient to major arteries; getting around was easy. Deirdre anticipated any questions we might have had and answered them with clear check-in instructions. It was a pleasure to stay at the cottage, and I happily recommend it!

Perfect and Central Location for Our Family
Our family of 4 (myself, husband, and two kids ages 3 and 6) stayed in this little cottage during some renovations to our home in south Austin. It was a perfect location for us to get to all of our normal routines and activities around Austin throughout our time there. This location cannot be beat, whether you are visiting for months at a time or temporarily relocating yourself in Austin!
The owner was above and beyond with her customer service and attention to every little detail for our stay...The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable! From the superior linens to the lawn service, nothing has been neglected. We ate many of our dinners on the screened porch out back and really enjoyed the private backyard along with the spring weather here in Austin. The back bedroom and bathroom were a nice spot for my husband to take calls for work, as it was very private and quiet out there.
There are many things to do (and eat!) right in this neighborhood. Our kids loved being so close to Ramsey Park/playground, I loved having close access to easy weeknight dinner options (mainly from Cafe Express or Central Market), my husband loved the coffee from Anderson's, and our whole family is now thoroughly addicted to the delicious cinnamon rolls at Russell's. And of course, you cannot stay without at least one visit to the original Kerbey Lane.
We loved our time here and would absolutely recommend this cottage to friends or families visiting Austin. We cannot say enough great things about it!

Very nice property Quiet neighborhood
We spent 7 weeks here and were pleased with the house, neighborhood and landlady.
Deidre was helpful with everything we needed and the neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. Great neighborhood and convenient to everything we needed.
I would definitely rent again.

Comfort, convenience, and amenities
We lived in the stone cottage for five months during our sabbatical visiting UT. The house was very comfortable with two bedrooms in the house and one in a cute little building in the back. The house had all the amenities we were looking for - WiFi, TV, nicely outfitted kitchen, washer/dryer, good A/C and heat, and a fenced-in backyard (Deirdre was kind enough to let our dog stay with us). I especially loved the back porch, deck and yard, with a beautiful large table and chairs it was a great place to hang out when the weather was nice. The location was extremely convenient to UT's campus. When my husband had the car out of town I could easily bike or take the bus to campus. The neighborhood is quiet, and the house is close to groceries and the original Kerbey Lane restaurant! Shoal Creek is nearby and was a good place to take the dog for a walk. Deirdre was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable without being intrusive.

Fantastic stay/Great place to explore Austin from
Loved staying at this cottage. My family and I made it our homebase for our first two months in Austin while we searched for a house to buy. It was the perfect location - lots to do in the neighborhood (Deirdre will supply you with a list of places to try and all her recco's are excellent), a cheap Uber into the city for nights out and easy access to the Mopac/TX-1 to get North to Cedar Park.
Deidre is a fabulous host. Super responsive to any requests or questions. Highly recommended place to stay if you are visiting Austin for a long stretch.
