The cabin was great, it worked out perfectly. Great location.
Beautiful, Peaceful, and So Much More
We spent the Christmas holidays in this beautiful cabin. You have a clear view of Pikes Peak, beautiful large windows to let the morning sun in to keep you warm and toasty, not to mention the amazing views! The cabin was exactly as pictured, plenty of room for our family of four, comfortable beds, and spotless. We loved our stay here and hope to book it again this year for another vacation. I would highly recommend Mr. & Mrs. Clay's cabin for anyone seeking some quiet time away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the big city. Everything within just a few minutes drives anything you could possibly need. The cabin is nestled in the mountains but centrally located to many neither by attractions.
Quiet Divide Getaway
Ron and Sue's mountain home is a the perfect Colorado getaway. Our family of four enjoyed the quiet, clean home and the fact there was little cell phone service was actually a good thing :) It's close to Manatou Springs and Woodland Park. Scenic views from the deck are wonderfully peaceful. We climbed the Crags trail , which is just down I67, which was a great day hike. The property is clean, well maintained and fully stocked for staying in, cooking and just relaxing. Sue was very good at contacting us to make sure we made it in and if we had any questions . Great VRBO experiance!
Great place to getaway!
Very nice cabin and a great location. Within an hour driving distance from many of the main Colorado attractions. Kids and family loved the stay!
Great Cabin in the Woods!
We arrived at the cabin just after the first snowfall of the season (October 10th) and it was absolutely beautiful! Being from GA we don't get much snow so we loved it! The cabin is tucked away in the woods about a mile or so off the main road. The solar windows work very well heating the place up. The view is beautiful out the front, you can see Pike's Peak right from the cabin. We had a mama deer and baby that visited us every day for apples. This was amazing. The cabin was warm and cozy, a perfect place off the beaten path but close enough to drive to many attractions. Mueller State Park is just a few miles up the main road and I highly recommend it! We went on several hikes there and the trails and views were amazing. If you want a perfect sunset, hike out Outlook Ridge (about a mile) and sit on the rocks to watch the sun go down but don't take the loop all the way around, just turn around and go back out the way you came in ( if not you'll be winding thru the woods in the dark for 3 miles). Even if you don't hike, the visitor center has great views also right from the parking lot. We also went to M Lazy C Ranch (about 20-30 min. away at Lake George) and did a 2 hour horse back ride and it was awesome! We rode to the top of a mountain and took photos with Pike's Peak in the background. The cabin was so peaceful and quite I hated to leave! It is a beautiful area. This was our first trip to CO and I'm already looking to see when we can go back and stay longer! Sue was very nice to communicate with, answering all my questions, she also called us after arrival to make sure everything was good. The cabin was well stocked and yes, a hair dryer too. We hope to book another trip here soon and stay at this same cabin again.
L'altitude à la cabine est d'env. 9,200 pieds. Randonnées sur place. Épicerie et essence à 8 milles. Rafting en eau vive, ski de fond local à distance de conduite. Le ski alpin à Breckenridge est à 80 miles.
