Crain Family Vacay
This is our favorite cabin! We love this property, it is perfect for us! Only draw back is we go on vacay the same week every year and sometimes we can't get this booked! Kelle is fantastic to work with! We will always try to come back! :)
Great family vacation headquarters!
The cabin was perfect for our group of 7. It helped to have 3 full bathrooms. We loved the deck and fire pit. Only disappointment was that we saw very little wildlife at the cabin.
I sure wish there was a way to ensure wildlife sightings! Some years they hang around more than others but I can't ever figure out why. Hopefully you had some visits from the hummingbirds at least. They love to sip nectar from the feeders on the deck!
July in New Mexico
The cabin was very large and gave our family of 5 all the space we needed. Our married daughter and her husband were able to have their own apartment downstairs. We had one light rainy day and the the driveway was no joke so be careful. Luckily
The rest of the week the driveway was nice and dry. The area is quiet and away from all other houses.
Remote, but not so remote!
The Pido cabin was a fantastic getaway for my husband, myself and our two labs. The cabin is close enough to town for necessities, but has a remote feel. Peaceful and quiet with lots of chipmunk and hummingbird entertainment, we thoroughly enjoyed a week in the cool mountain air. The dogs were able to roam off leash as there are no other cabins really close.
The cabin has all you need to prepare meals, etc, including coffee maker, pots and pans, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and even a crockpot!
Internet was verrrrry slow, but that was not an issue for us as we' d intended to unplug for the week anyway. Cell service was not great, texts went out sporadically; again, no problem for us.
It rained on us daily for the first few days, but the road back to the cabin was in great shape as it was scraped each day. We have a 2WD Tahoe and getting in and out was no issue with normal rainfall.
I recommend this place and plan to book again with Kelle on our next trip!
Secluded area with plenty of room for the grandkids to explore. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The rental was very easy, Kellie communicated ownership expectations simply. With no extreme regulations. We really enjoyed our stay.
Peace, quiet, and privacy
I spent a lot of time with google maps making sure that the cabin wasn't bunched up next to other condos, retail, or noisy highways. The location is nearly perfect. Close enough to Angel Fire to conveniently enjoy the resort and restaurants, but also far enough away to really enjoy what these mountains are all about. It's surrounded by a nice tree cover to provide even more privacy, but still has an amazing deck with a view of the property and some fantastic star gazing.
Kelle is also super cool to deal with and she will work with you to make sure you're taken care of. That's pretty important too.
The cabin itself is pretty huge and nice. Love that it has three bathrooms. That's a big deal with 2 teenage kids, lol. The bedding and mattresses were also high quality and in good condition.
WiFi could be better. Cell service worked for voice, but data was spotty, but we knew that going in though. Honestly we needed a week to detox from world so we didn't miss it much.
This cabin is a very sweet deal.
