New Favorite Forrest
Me and my GF Stayed for our 1 year anniversary and I can hands down say this is my new favorite place! from the cleanliness of the cabin or the decor and instantly home vibes you get there's not much more you could ask for. Apart from the amazing spacious cabin with fire pit and a scenic view of the mountains there are tons on trails along mountain loop highway and the host are extremely knowledgeable and friendly! if your looking to get away, even for a just a few days, this is the place
Sweet cabin in beautiful location
The cabin was clean, cozy, kitchen was well stocked, plenty of hot water for showers, fireplace to chase away the morning chill, and kind and respsonsive hosts. The state park pass was very helpful, and my daughters and I had a great time going to the ice caves and Boardman Lake.
A little gem in beautiful surroundings
The pictures in the posting don't do proper justice to this little cabin. It's really cozy, clean, and tastefully and usefully appointed. Quiet front porch overlooks rock formations across the valley (and also features a robin's nest). Norm was a wonderful host, had the fire burning when we arrived, and made himself available in case we should need anything. If you intend to hike in the area, you should know Norm has a guide book and a Northwest Forest Pass in the house that you can use for parking at any trail heads that require it.
Lovely cabin in a beautiful setting. Cozy and well stocked. Only complaint would be lack of hot water. Water temp for showers was cold with a hint of warm. Mouse issues are being addressed. Would definitely stay again. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and loved the vintage cabin.
Perfect amount of grid!
We love glamping and this cabin was a fun twist. Comfy beds, great kitchen and bath, electricity for the essentials, but free of internet distractions. Flexible spaces inside and out worked great for our mom and daughter retreat. Loved the fire pit and views of mountains and stars! Great launching point to drive the Mountain Loop Highway and see the power of the river. Easy hosts!
This Place is a Treasure!
This place was just so cool. Really secluded, surrounded by incredible views, and the property is really well situated for an awesome break from the digital world. No cell phones, no internet, just the sounds of the river, birds, and rain on the roof. We had such a killer time there, and hope to return soon. The other big plus, we got there in less than an hour and a half from Seattle... I'm pretty sure it's the quickest route to getting off the grid. And, the owners of the property have gone out of the way to make sure their visitors have a nice stay. Really well thought out,. one of my favorite vrbo's I"ve ever been to.
