cozy spot to include our dog spot
The three of us were staying over Christmas. That would be my wife, I and our small dog.
Morgan made us all feel welcome, going out of his way to show us a special view of town and bring us extra stuff from his home to make us more comfortable. The cabin like space is attached to another apartment but we hardly knew the tenants were there. And is set back enough from the road that the few cars that pass were not heard. It is set up with kitchen and living space on 1st floor. The two bedrooms are on the 2nd floor accessed by a spiral stairs that is a little tricky in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Some of the furnishing are well traveled but it reduced our worries of having our dog share the couch with us as it was covered with a throw blanket.
It was winter we did not take advantage of the outdoor amenities like the fire pits and seating.
I suited our needs of having a place to spend a week of holidays together as a family.
i didnt enjoy the stay
Would expect the place to be a little bigger.. but the place was way to congested.
Beautiful landscapes. Uncomfortable stay.
Honesdale in Pennsylvania, NJ, is a wonderful place. Spectacular mountain landscapes, but the chalet inside is very uncomfortable, its furniture is in poor condition and with little cleaning in the kitchen, we opened a cabinet to look for something and, we found very dirty. Hopefully their owners choose to change many things to make this chalet more comfortable for visitors. We met the owner of the chalet and found him a good person, very friendly and cheerful. We are very grateful for your reception.
The rental was not clean at all. The dust was very noticeable. There had obviously been a dog in the house recently. (dog bowls had been left on the kitchen floor with water in them). There was dog fur everywhere including one of the beds. The fur was in between the the fitted and top sheet which should not have happened if the sheets had been changed. This was a problem as we are both allergic to dogs. The first night in the house we saw a mouse run across the kitchen floor. In the morning there was mouse dirt on the counter. Would NOT recommend this rental!!!
Clean and well kept
Cute place. Lots of great scenic areas around and easy access to various stores and restaurants if needed. Mains street has tons of cute shops and places to check out. Great little town.
Cozy and quiet
A very pleasant property. Homey and functional ...older retro stove, with very comfortable furniture. Bedrooms are up a small spiral staircase. Great large property to relax in. Brought my two pups and relaxed! Owner was very responsive and accomodating.
It is always a pleasure to hear that people enjoyed their stay on the mountain. Thank you so much for the kind words. Greatly appreciated and hope that you will tell your family and friends so that we can make this special place a success to future guest. Please visit again soon there is plenty to do year round.
