We really liked it and the price was reasonable. We did lose reception for the tv the last night. Not sure why??
I am glad that you have enjoyed our place. I apologize for the reception mishap for the TV, I am not sure why either. Perhaps, DirectTV was down at the time.

I was disappointed to see that there was NO environmentally friendly products in the kitchen or bath
The place was nice, but had a cleaning product/chemical smell to it. The bed was very comfortable and with the sliding door open I could hear the ocean. But I was very sad to see the there was NO environmentally friendly dish soap or bath products. Since this is a ocean town you would think that they would recycle and only have environmentally friendly products. With what is going on in our environment right NOW! with the marine animals dying......THE TIME IS NOW FOR US ALL TO CARE FOR OUR WORLD!
clean, but uncomfortable bed and is in a bad location
The place is clean. The towels provided were nice and what you would get at a 4 star rated hotel The bed is not comfortable. It is very mushy and we woke up with sore necks. The location is not good. It’s next to a borading house and the street is dark and seemed a bit unsafe to walk at night. This area was not what we expected it to be. There were many fast food restaurants. All the shops close early at 4pm. We enjoyed a nice meal at the Shilo Inn and Alec’s restaurant and had locally brewed beer which was great.
What was that smell?
My husband and I were excited to spend our 10 year anniversary in the same town we celebrated our honeymoon in. We were looking forward to less of a hotel atmosphere. However, when we arrived and the door swung open I was taken back by the musty rotten smell that was drowning in a strong cleaning solution. I couldnt breath and had to step out of the unit. After leaving both doors open to get a flow of air running through I stepped back in. It was still pretty bad so we slept with the sliding doors open all night. The sheets and blankets stunk so we didnt bother to sleep under the covers. Needless to say the first night was really cold! The next day a new neighbor asked if I would help her get her door unlocked. When her door opened I could smell the cleaning solution but no nasty musty scent. I asked her to come over to our place and step inside to see if my place smelled the same as hers. When she stepped inside her face cringed and she felt the same way I did. Too much cleaning products used to cover an awful odor. At that point I contacted the property manager who suggested that housekeeping replace the sheets and blankets. I didnt think it would fix the problem but I was willing to give it a shot. My husband and I did everything we could to avoid spending time there and were disgusted anytime we returned. I had to stay outside for a few minutes each time to catch my breath while the place aired out. We came back later that evening to find a pile of new blankets and sheets in a plastic bag on the floor. Not only did they leave the bed for us to make up but they left the stinky blankets on the bed rather than remove them from the room. At that point I contacted the manager to let her know what we came back to and that we were extremely disappointed. She offered to give us a discount but that wouldnt fix our problem. The cabin rental was a gift so it wouldnt benefit our situation regardless. She then said she would work on getting us into another rental which never happened. The next day maintenance dropped off a gift card for a local restaurant close by. It was amazing food and service. However we paid out more money tipping the server and cook. We spent money we didnt plan on spending. At the restaurant we decided we would stay another night at a different place. Our anniversary was somewhat ruined by the place we were staying and we wanted to end the trip on a good note which we did elsewhere!
I am sorry that you were not happy with our place and apologize for the miscommunication. You checked in on 8/19 and I received a call from you on 8/21 said the room had a very strong smell, you couldn't tell me what it was, you thought it may be the strong cleaning solution. I then offered that I would have the housekeeper bring you some new sheet and blanket that are washed with non-fragranced detergent. That didn't seem to work. The housekeeper then said he can try using a commercial air purifier for the unit, that normally would take care most odor even smoking odor. Again, it didn't work for you either. At that time, I know we tried everything we could, I felt bad and said I would not want you to be unhappy staying at my place, I would be willing to refund the remaining or your rental fee if you want to find another place. I never offered to find you another place, because I wouldn't know what kind of place you like and what would be your budget. I also would not want to be responsible for finding you a place that you may not like. You then said it would not be beneficial to you to find another place because this place was a gift from your parents and it was ok you will stay until you check out on Thursday.
I felt terrible that we couldn't solve the problem so asked the housekeeper to give you a gift card at a local restaurant and hoped it would help to relieve some of the inconvenience this may have caused.
As a property owner and a traveler, I always thrive to treat my guests the way I would like to be treated by providing a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay.

We couldn't be happier! The room was clean, airy, and just the right size for the two of us. Within walking distance of the Conference Center and the ocean. What could be more delightful? Will use the facility next year!
