Close to China Peak for ski lovers
It is my first time using Vacasa vs Airbnb. The condo is pet friendly enabling us to bring our dog, my grandkids were so excited to see the snow fall, and my children enjoyed the ski. Too sad the TV was not functioning that frustrated the kids. The loft’s ladder is too steep, no good for elders. But they respond fast to your requests when you can reach them over the phone.

Previously, DISH service had been provided by the HOA but the association has opted out of that service. We are exploring possible options to equip the home with streaming capabilities. We hope to host you again!
Loved the location
I recommend if you are thinking of renting # 83, do Google the property. It is posted on different websites, the price varies as much as $200 for a 4 night stay, and cancelation policies were different. There was no price match. The location was perfect for our skiing and hiking plans. The views were amazing. The Condo feels welcoming. The Vacasa staff responded to my many email questions prior to our stay. I did not receive an answer the day before we left to find out our duties at check out. We had to guess, There was some question regarding a TV/DVR in the home, yes the photos are accurate. <br />
There are only a few pots and pans, if cooking for full occupancy, it would be very difficult. The bedroom closets are filled with stuff, old smelling collection of stuff. Not sure what it is for, we left them alone and did not use the closets.<br />
It took a couple of days to figure out why the downstairs bedrooms were filling with smoke when we used the fireplace in the living room. My son discovered the flue was open in the master bedroom. Once it was closed the air was better.<br />
It was previous reported about the master shower not draining, supposedly it was snaked, it continues to not drain, the shower continues to fill with 2-3 inches of water that takes 30-45 min to drain.<br />
If we return to the Huntington lake area we would stay at number #83 again Thank you

Great Location and Views for China Peak
This condo is very airy and open. The ceiling must be 30' high! Our kids had a great time sledding just outside the condo. I'm curious how hard it would be to get up the hill if there were ice or snow. You should definitely bring traction of some kind.
Has fantastic potential
We booked this unit due to its pet-friendly status and absolutely loved being able to bring our Golden Retriever with us. The space is located in a fantastic location with nearby areas that are great for sledding without having to drive. We loved the short drive to China Peak as well as to the nearby saloon/restaurant. That being said, this unit could greatly benefit from just a little time spent on updating a few areas. There are multiple hutches within the living room that are not needed that take up valuable floor space (3 in total). The kitchen was stocked with multiple coffee makers, some of them labeled "does not work". We found only a few frying pans when attempting to make breakfast sized semi-small/small, making it difficult to prepare breakfast for all occupants in a single setting. The shelf in the master shower apparently broke sometime during a previous occupant's stay (the shelf was found in our linen closet) and there is currently nowhere to place soap, razors etc except on the ground. We tried to work with this; however, the shower drain was not operating correctly and with each shower, approximately 2-3 inches of water would accumulate. We did need to call maintenance our first night as the heater was completely non-operable. I will say that the staff was very responsive and able to fix this on our second nights stay. Overall, high scores for location and pet-friendly status with a strong recommendation for the current owners to restore the glory of this little gem.
