Being in the true center is quite appreciable, as one knows Venice is the european city where one walks the most.
The place is on the 3rd floor of an antique 17th building where once lived for 7 years Vivant Denon who later established the Louvre Museum.
The apartment has just been completely renovated in 2007 and there is all the confort required for a successful stay, air conditioned, adsl internet, a fully-equiped kitchen.
The best asset would be the owner who would give you all sort of tips to live like a venitian.

Means of access We would normally agree on a meeting point either at Rialto or at San Marco when you arrive to pick you up.
Yet, the apartment is very easy to find and to get to:
From the Rialto: just follow the direction to San Marco - taking the Calle Marzaria at San Salvador square.
From San Marco square: just follow the direction to Rialto passing beneath the Clock tower - Torre dell'Orlogio . Pass in front of the San Zulian church, keep on walking toward Rialto.
Hints and Tips The advantage of the apartment is that you are truly located in the center of the city, hence you would have all its fanciest restaurants less than 5 minutes away walking.
My advice however would be to live as a venitian, i.e. go shopping at the Rialto fish and vegetable market and in the supermarkets around to cook yourself wonderful meals.
The owner would advise you on whatever you would like to know as for instance where to get tickets for the Fenice or how to go visit the northern lagoon islands or even organize a trip to them or to the palladian villas on the mainland should you request it.
