Means of access Villa Titrit is located 17kms north of Agadir in the quiet hillside village of Tamraght enjoying unspoilt open views over the Atlantic ocean. The house is easily accessed and is within 150 metres of the main bus route into Agadir. Cheap flights from Europe to Agadir/Marakesh make it an ideal choice for dual centre visits, on the coast at Tamraght combined with a visit to the 'red city' of Marakesh. A comfortable and scenic £6.50 Supratours coach journey links the two cities. The set price Taxi fare to the villa from Marakesh is about £60. The journey takes around 4 hours and the taxi will take upto 6 people. Local taxi or bus service into Agadir will get you into Agadir city for the full seaside resort experience if you really need it! It has some lovely promenade cafes overlooking the bay and a variety of resaurants, from Mexican, Lebanese, Chinese, Indian and Moroccan.Inevitably McDonalds and Pizza Hut have arrived too! We can recommend places to stay in Marakesh that we have used, from budget to 5star, if you intend to combine your visit on the coast with a stay in Marakesh. To get to the house from Agadir take the main road towards Essouaria about 15/20 mins driving time, to Aourir, pass the banana stalls, go over the river bridge, keeping on this road for about another 400m going up hill slightly.Turn sharp turn right at the top of this slope. Keep going up a hilly road til you see a yellow/red 'immo soleil' estate agent on your right. Then take 2nd left indicated by a'Dynamic Loisirs'sign. Turn left at the bottom, and we are 3rd on your right.
Hints and Tips Airport pick up and return (Marakesh or Agadir)can be arranged for you. Car hire is advised if you are planning to journey further afield and can also be organised for you at preferential rates with our usual provider(300dhs approx £20 per day for small car). Local shops and small supermarkets in the village sell basics but for a more extensive range, there are larger supermarkets in Agadir, which also carry a limited range for vegetarians. There are good local restaraunts, in neighbouring Aourir and Taghazout, which provide traditional Tagines, and other menus. The local Souk is on Wednesdays and is excellent for fresh fruit/veg. In neighbouring Aourir a new bank, hotel, supermarket and french bakery have opened.Quad biking and Go Karting are available next door to the house as is Surfing. New golf course planned in Taghazoute 3kms away, for 2010 and choice of three excellent courses in Agadir. One set of Golf clubs and two bicyles are available for your use at the house, as are beach mats and an electric cool box for picnics and journeys further afield, (plugs in to the cigarette lighter in a car.) Paradise valley and the Immouzzer waterfalls are local places to visit inland and Taroudant, Tiznit and Essouaria are also worth visiting.
