Means of access Directions from Faro Airport
On leaving Faro airport, bear right at the roundabout following the signs to Faro and then to the A22 (or IP1) motorway, the main east-west highway which links the Algarve to Spain.
After 3 kilometres, follow the signs to the motorway to Lisbon (Lisboa) and Portimão. This takes you on to the main N125 heading west, away from Faro. Be very careful on this junction as traffic joining the road crosses traffic leaving it.
After a further 4.5 kilometres get into the lefthand lane in order to bear left, continuing to follow the signs to Lisboa and the A22/IP1.
After a further 3.5 kilometres, join the A22 motorway; once again be very careful here. Follow the signs to Lisbon, Portimão and Albufeira. After 22 kilometres you pass the intersection where the new motorway from Lisbon (A2) joins the A22.
Turn right at the next intersection marked Ourique and Lisbon,onto the IC1 or N 264. Continue on this road and take the S.B. Messines turn off. Turn left at this roundabout, taking the turn marked Silves (N124). This essentially brings you under the road you have just turned off. Continue on this road, passing the town of S B Messines on your right.
After 11 kilometers you will pass a sign saying Barragem on your right. A large Palmtree in the middle of the junction marks this. We are the next right.After crossing over a narrow bridge,( lit with flashing lights at night time), you turn sharp right immediatelly after the bridge. Continue down this road for 950 meters until you reach a T junction.
