The street was once a passageway used by the Pope to reach the Basilica, and the wall besides it was particularly useful to him and his court of Cardinals and Bishops during wars to allow them to escape from the rebels reaching the safe fortress of Castel S. Angelo along the river Tiber.
The apartment offers top quality accommodation and is located on the second floor of an elegant 15th century historic building. The two levels apartment has been newly renovated with all modern comforts and the architect has given to it a special charming touch in emphasising with modern lights the typical Italian wooden ceilings and the Florentine tiled floors.
