The owner will greet you personally and will give you all sorts of advice to make your stay unforgettable, thanks to the excellent position and the comfort of the appartment. Get off at Piazza Trilussa, the appartment is at 50m. You can also use public transportation from Fiumicino: take the train to Trastevere Station, then tram number 8 to Piazza Sonnino. The house is 500m from there. From Ciampino airport, you can take a taxi for 25-30 Euros or a shuttle bus to Termini Station. From the station, you can take bus H to Piazza Sonnino, or a taxi to Piazza Trilussa. Hints and Tips Trastevere is the fashionable district of Rome, located “beyond the river” Tevere, on the same side as the Vatican. This neighborhood of handcrafters and salesmen has a somehow crazy charm. Its beauty relies on its relative disorder: narrow streets, houses of different heights, lots of plants here and there, laundry hanging from the windows and irregular pavements from the Roman age. It represents a Rome which tends to disappear, a simple, human Rome full of colors and contradictions. Santa Maria is the heart of Trastevere: a square with a church and a fountain, and some bars and restaurants with tables outside to enjoy a meal or just coffee. Piazza Trilussa offers some more bars and restaurants and Ponte Sisto well deserves a stop to watch the river view. On the other side of the bridge, you will find Campo de’ fiori, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, all at walking distance. You will find some tourist information at home as well. Trastevere offers all sorts of typical restaurants (osterie, pizzerie, trattorie…), as well as day bars for coffee or cappuccino and night bars for a drink, but it is also a live neighborhood: you will also find all sorts of shops, as well as an open-air grocery market at Piazza San Cosimato. Following Via Garibaldi, you will arrive to Gianicolo, where the breathtaking view covers all the center of Rome towards the South, up to the mountains. Everything can be reached on foot, but Trastevere is also well connected with buses and trams, everything’s easier once you are in the center of Rome, you just have to enjoy the Eternal City!
