Additional services Cleaning service available, ADSL Internet Best points The apartment is located in a very charming square , the “place Emile Goudeau" ( formally known as “Place du Bateau Lavoir" where “Picasso” and other cubist painters lived ).
On the left is the Abbesses district, on the right the Old Montmartre village. All the rooms enjoy a view of the square. The square is planted with big Spanish Oak trees. You also have a view of Paris from the bedroom window. The area is very safe.
We are in the same block as the fruit & vegetable stand featured in the famous movie " Le Destin d’Amélie Poulain".
The apartment has been completely renovated last summer. It has a living room and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Located at the 3rd floor, it is very bright and has many windows ( 6 in total). We lived in it for 2 months while our other apartment was being renovated. It proved to be a very nice place to live in.
The furniture is typical antique wooden French.
We are living on the 4th floor, just above. We are here if you need help, but do not worry, we will not be intrusive.
Just a point, important to us. We decided to rent the apartment on a short term basis because customers are mainly foreigners. We enjoy meeting foreign people and believe this is a way to meet nice people as well as getting some return on the apartment. We want people to enjoy their stay as much as possible.

Hints and Tips The good thing with Montmartre is that it combines the atmosphere of an old village with limited car traffic as well as trendy shops and restaurants. Many artists, painters, but also movie star, people from the entertainment world, live in the district.
The apartment is located just between 2 areas of Montmartre :
- On the right, climbing up the hill, you will find a lot a small streets with wonderful views on Paris, charming stairs and small or gorgeous houses with hidden gardens. Go an look for the Montmartre Vineyard, the square “René clement” where nature is purposely left alone to develop, take a walk to “Place du Tertre” where artists will offer to draw your portrait. We will give you a few hints on where to go and what to do, things you would not find in “guides”.
- On the left, you will go down on “rue des Abbesses”, where all the shops and cafés are. You will discover nice clothing stores. Just down on rue Lepic, there is a nice market. You will find any french product you can think of : wines shops where you can taste, the cheese shop who was rated n° 3 in France, many bakeries producing their own bread and french pastries, charcuteries ( test the prepared courses they offer !!!) and many more. It’ll take a few days to select your preferred “café” !!!
- Subway station Abbesses, just down the apartment will lead you to the center of Paris quickly, Champs-élysées is only a 10 mn subway ride, Eiffel Tower 15 mn as well as Le Marais, Les Halles, and finally Saint Germain would be 20 mn. You could also ride the bus, if you prefer look at the ambiance.
