The gîte (independent house decorated according to local styles) offer a nice flowered garden and a splendid view over the Mont-Dore Mountains. The gîte get all the comfort and charm essential for a complete and pleasant stay in an authentic place. Take the direction of Coudes and then the brown panel “ROUTE DU DAUPHINE D’AUVERGNE” through Chadeleuf. 3 miles after Chadeleuf turn left in direction of Pardines. Enter the village and go straight on and take a street going up to the “plateau”. Take the 1rst street on the right and the house is the first one on your left.(rue de la Matève). Hints and Tips The village is located in the centre of two specific area of the Puy-de-Dôme (Pays Val d’Allier and Pays du Sancy) and will satisfy : - people interested in : architectural heritage (romanesque church and museum of the Clock Tower of Issoire, fortified and perched villages of Montpeyroux and Saint-Yvoine, Megemont Abbey) … - fond of sports people : hiking trip (start in Pardines), ski (Super-Besse and Mont Dore), bathing, angling and canoeing (Chambon lake and Aydat lake)… - gourmets : local specialities (truffade, salted meats, wine and cheese, poule au pot, salmon with bacon and herbs)… You will find some more tourist documentation and maps in the gîte.
