Additional services Bed linen provided, Towels provided, Washing machines at the disposal of all tenants Best points Very peaceful, tastefully decorated village house. Completely renovated with modern bathrooms but retaining wonderful french character. The top floor stairs are steep and are probably not suitable for the infirm although there's a handrail all the way up. Top floor bedroom has three single beds. The other "Vineyard" room on this floor has wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards and has a sitting area, and a 4ft bed (we've shown this as a single).
The lovely outdoor courtyard catches the sun most of the day and opens up fully to provide shade in the garage/children's games area with chess, table football table and hopscotch. Might sound strange but it works wonderfully.
The village of Donazac is a medieval circular village designed in the round. There are no shops but a visiting Baker 6 days a week (comes early and you must order ahead) and a Butcher/Grocery van usually once a week.
Our local representative lives in the village and will arrange to greet you.

Means of access A car really is necessary. Carcassonne airport is approx. 35km away (Ryanair). Perpignan is 1 1/2 hours (Ryanair), Toulouse airport is 133km (approx 1 3/4 hours drive) and BA flies here from London Gatwick. Many airlines use Toulouse from other European destinations.
Hints and Tips We are located in the heart of wine and beautiful Cathar Castle countryside. Wonderful walks or cycling in every direction from the doorstep. An Artist's paradise. The Medieval city of Carcassone is only 30km away, we have the Canal du Midi, Abbeys, mineral baths, thermal hotsprings and limestone caverns within easy reach.
Limoux is famous for Europe's longest running Winter Carnival which runs weekends from January through March.
There are big supermarkets in the area but more fun are the wonderful open air french markets which take place in all the towns nearby.
