Our house is situated in Schaller which is approx. 3 km from Neustift. As well as a great number of restaurants which offer all kinds of food ranging from typical Tyrolean specialities to international deliciacies.
Summer – enjoying nature
Experience the wonderful mountains of the Stubai Valley. Start your hiking, walking and mountainbiking trips directly from our house. Recover yourself either at our lake (Kampler See) or Klau-Säuele (Falbeson) or just enjoy doing nothing on our balcony or our sunbathing lawn.
More than 850 km of pure nature make hiker’s hearts beat faster. All kinds of hikers will find the appropriate footpathes, reaching from high mountain tours to enjoy our amazing views, to tracks running along quiet streams. Enjoy our lovely weather and forget your daily round.
Huts and mountain pastures, climbing, canyoning and trekking are special experiences. Feel and enjoy the impressions which our nature provides – a leisure activity between excitement and relaxation.
Also mountainbikers will cover their costs. They have the possibility of 110km long tracks of all kinds of degrees. It does not matter if you cycle through the valley or up the mountains – you will always have the possibility of enjoying our fantastic and breathtaking nature.
Another possibility of experiencing our beautiful valley is paragliding. You can either fly on your own, if you have the permission to do so, or you can fly tandem with one of our local instructors. Or another alternative to get to know Neustift would be on a horse back or on a horse carriage.
For our young guests and for those who still feel like it, you can find a summer tobbogan run in Mieders (Serles). The new built gondolas take you up the mountain from where you then decide how to go back down.
Besides the weekly sports activities and events, festivities of all kinds take place during the summer. You can get there either by your private car or by our public bus. Additionally, every Friday you have the possibility to buy self-made products from our local farmers at a little market, the so-called "Bauernmarkt", in the centre of Neustift. From the balcony you can watch our llamas, chickens and geese. At your request you can buy our biological eggs.

Means of access Take the A13 in direction to the Brenner/Italy. After the “Europabrücke” (European bridge) you get off the motorway at the slip road Stubaital/Schönberg. Take the road to Neustift, go on below the church in direction to the Stubaier glacier. After about 3 km you reach Schaller and you find our house (Bachstelze) quite at the end of Schaller at the left hand side.
Hints and Tips At your request you can rent our double room (double bed, shower and toilet, TV with satellite receiver, fridge, table with chairs, additional bed) in combination with our appartement.
