The accommodation at the icon painter’s apartments has been specifically designed with traditional Greece in mind. Whilst the studio has all the necessary modern appliances and comforts, including air conditioning. The design clearly recalls traditional Greek homes with clean white washed walls and little clutter.
The studio has its own terrace and there is a plunge pool in the shady courtyard for you to relax in after your day. Imagine the sun setting over the Taygetos Mountains as you sit surrounded by the scent of the lemon trees…and you’re half way there.
The studio has its own outside sitting area, terrace or courtyard, where you can enjoy life al fresco. The villa is at the heart of the village – equally close to the beautiful Zaga beach to the west and the traditional waterfront cafés to the east.

Means of access Koroni is readily accessible by air via the airport at Kalamata less than half an hour’s drive away. Alternatively why not take in a visit to Athens which is only a few hours’ drive and take in some fabulous sites, such as ancient Olympia, Sparta, Mystras or ancient Messina on the way. Koroni is ideally located as a base for a holiday exploring the Peloponnese. When you arrive in Koroni we recommend you collect the keys at one of the local cafes where a friendly face will guide you through the narrow streets to the studios. Hints and Tips For those who love activity, there is the famous Finikounda beach nearby for windsurfing and the majesty of the Taygetos mountains for walking. Other readily available activities include horse riding, low level walking along coastal tracks and countryside around the village and visits to the many historical sites in Messinia – including the venetian fort at Koroni, right on your doorstep. In the village enjoy the many tavernas and shops which are there for local people who will travel from Kalamata and beyond to savour the atmosphere of Koroni’s vibrant waterfront.
