Hints and Tips I would advise a visit the nearby world famous Chianti wine growing area with it's many still functioning historic towns and castles where one can experience history and also buy some of their typical products. Our whole area is rich in interesting medieval sites, San Michele included. Only a few kilometers divides us from Pratomago, a mountainous area famous for it's old forests. From S. Michele you can easily visit all of the famous historic old cities, towns, monasteries, churches and sites going all the way back in time to the Etruscan era. We are also within a few kilometers from the "fashion outlets" of many famous Italian designers: Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Prada to name just a few.
