Additional services Bed linen provided, Towels provided Best points Close to the nicest avenue of Budapest, Andrassy, very close to the Széchenyi thermal bath, to the House of Terror Museum and to the historical and arts Museums, to the spots of Budapest nightlife ("Pesti Broadway" theaters, bars, the apartment was entirely renovated and equipped in October 2006. It is located in a historical building, restored also in summer 2006. The Andrassy sector, heart of the "golden age" of Budapest at the end of the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth, has been reviving for some 15 years and belongs to UNESCO World Heritage for the variety of its architectural styles. It is nowadays a living sector where one can find plenty of small typical shops and restaurants, so as nice hotels and prestigious cafes like the "New York". Within some 15 minutes of walk, you will find the Parliament building, symbol of Budapest, the city center (Vaci street) or Margaret island, the city's "green heart". On the island of the Danube river "Obuda", takes place the international rock festival "Sziget" every summer, one of the most important music festivals in Europe.

Means of access From the airport : take the airport "minibus" (booking in the arrival hall), it takes 30 minutes to reach the apartment. From July 2007 a direct train will allow you to reach the apartment in 15 minutes from the airport (take off at station Nyugati Palyaudvar - 100m from the apartment).
By car : Find Andrassy avenue in Pest, Oktogon, turn Eötvös utca on your left when you're heading to the Heroes' Square.
Two metro lines (1 and 3), the tramways 4 and 6 and several bus lines can be found very close the apartment enabling you to reach any other part of the city within 10 minutes (Vaci street, Synagogue, National Museum, Buda Castle, Matthias Church etc.)
Hints and Tips On the Ferenc Liszt square, very close to the apartment, you will find plenty of night bars and restaurants with both magyar and/or international gastronomy. A night at the Opera of Budapest (10 mn of walk), one of the nicest of its style in Europe, is a must. Visiting the Heroes' Square, with statues of original Magyar tribes chiefs, leads you by walk to the Szechenyi thermal bath in 15 mn. By the metro line "Millenium", first to be built in continental Europe, the zechenyi thermal bath is only three stations away. Shopping of typical Hungarian food (foie gras, Tokay wine) is possible in Eötvös public market, in the street of the apartment. Typical "magyar" kind of Fast-food" in the "Sörözö" (beer bars) of the sector.
