Means of access Directions from Turin airport to Briancon
Turin airport called Caselle, is about 10km north of Turin city centre.
Follow signs for the TANGENZIALE then direction of FREJUS (tunnel).
You will go through three toll gates. The tolls are approximately 10€ in total. You will go through some quite long tunnels.
Soon after the third toll go past two exits for Oulx (this is approx. 1 hour or 70kms from Turin airport). You need to take the following exit (marked for Sestriere, Montgenevro, Clavière), this forks off right and then crosses over the motorway going straight into a small tunnel.
Keep following the signs for Montgenevro and Clavière slowly climbing up hill. Turn right at Cesana and start a steep hill climb. You will cross the border (Francia) then after going over the Col de Montgenèvre you descend down towards Briançon.
Go straight over the first kind of round-about (second exit) although you have right of way both entering and exiting the roundabout.
Turn left at the next junction which is sign-posted for Briançon. Then left again.
This road drops down into the centre of Briançon passing the cinema. At the bottom of the hill there is a round-about.
Take the third exit (in effect turning left) onto a narrow one-way street with shops and restaurants either side.
Keep following this to a final round-about and take the second exit up the hill towards the ‘Col D’Izoard’.
