Means of access From Edinburgh or Glasgow follow signposts to Stirling (M9) then at Stirling, do not go into Stirling town but at Junction 10 turn on to A84.(Signpost says Crianlarich and Callander) and follow this road for about 25 miles, through Callander, then Strathyre. After about 2 miles turn right at brown tourist sign at Kingshouse

Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible by Trains from Stirling or Dunblane to avoid difficult parking in those cities.
There is no public transport from Stronvar so cars are essential .
Local Village shops (Strathyre and Lochearnhead both with post offices) are excellent for all general groceries (And local gossip and advice!) Callander 12 miles (16km) away has two supermarkets.
Churches:Balquhidder is Presbyterian, Lochearnhead is Episcopalian and there is also Roman Catholic in Callander and all are very welcoming.
Sports centre with swimming pool at Callander. Tennis in Strathyre. Our garden is secluded and there is free access to all the countryside and mountains.
