Living on a houseboat is the true Amsterdam dream! Truly stunning location in heart of the most charming 16th century district.Right in the center and walking distance from Amsterdams best places. The boat is a 22m sailing ship from 1909, where the cargo hold has been converted into a modern living area: a private double bedroom with fitted double bed, shelving and a writing desk. a large living room with fitted lounge seating (used as extra bed in case of a third person) and of coarse a small but spacious toilet/shower room. the original captains cabin is now the kitchen, with a fridge, stove and all you might need to prepare food. shes tightly moored in the historical center, all amsterdamers agree this is the most beautiful neighborhood!
the boats roof still has the original design, which makes the interior standing height quite low as compared to an apartment, so if your 2m high, it might be a little strange. but thats part of the charm! A traditional one hundred year old ship in original sailing condition, renovated inside to modern lounge living. A clean zen space, romantic and peaceful. The water is still and flat, the best sleep you can ever have.
in the neiborhood around is the 'jordaan' where all where all the best restaurants, bars and clubs are situated, its the district that everybody wants to live in, mostly young cosmopolitain amsterdamers and artists. absorbing the atmosphere around in a beautiful streetside cafe or
